SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking the right VP of Finance to lead one of its portfolio companies, a middle-market distribution leader of food and beverage products. Our private equity client partners with management to drive continued growth and value by strengthening the leadership team, sharpening strategy and execution, and delivering organic and acquisitive growth.

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, annual bonus, and wealth-building equity grant make for a compelling economic opportunity.

  • End Market: Retailers and Distributors of Food and Beverage Products 
  • Revenue Range: Mid-Market
  • Hold Period: Exit planned for 4-5 years
  • Deal Structure: Control buyout

  • Accelerate the Company’s growth through strategic retail placements to enhance market presence
  • Expand distribution channels to capitalize on rising consumer demand for food products
  • Drive operational excellence and professionalization across functions to support scaling efforts and maximize revenue potential.

THE SPONSOR: This Chicago-based private equity firm has a solid history of exclusively focusing on leveraged buyouts and recapitalization of lower middle market companies.

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win who can honor this company's past while also leading it into the future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes:

  • Business Model: Distributors/Wholesale
  • Functional: Proven Senior Finance leader of a lower middle market company OR #2 Finance leader of an upmarket business
  • Orientation: Strong financial and operational leadership required, with demonstrated experience driving performance analytics, margin expansion, and cross-functional value creation initiatives.
  • Private Equity: Preferred
  • M&A: Preferred
  • Tenure: 10+ years of progressive career success
